Each formulation is reviewed by Valérie Demars before classification. We cross-check the full INCI against the EU endocrine-disruptor watch list, the EU 26-allergen list, current ECHA and Health Canada guidance, and — for life-stage collections — the aromatherapy literature on essential oils contraindicated during that season. If new evidence downgrades our confidence in any ingredient, we reformulate the product or remove it from the collection. This is a living standard, not a marketing label.

The fragrances classified as pregnancy-safe contain no essential oils contraindicated during the first trimester by Provence-trained aromatherapy guidelines (no concentrated sage, hyssop, savin, mugwort, pennyroyal, or thuja), no synthetic musks, no phthalates, no parabens, and no compounds on the EU EDC watch list. While nursing, apply away from the chest and any skin in direct contact with your baby — pulse points like wrists, behind ears, and neck are ideal. The full INCI is on every product page; share it with your obstetrician or midwife if you have specific sensitivities they're tracking.

The 26 EU-declarable allergens (limonene, linalool, citronellol, geraniol, benzyl benzoate, cinnamal, eugenol, and others) occur naturally in essential oils and are declared on every product's INCI when present above the regulatory threshold. Patch-test on the inside of your wrist for 48 hours before wearing. If you have a known sensitivity to a specific compound, our concierge team can recommend formulations with the lowest concentrations of it, or with it absent entirely.
