Let's protect our historical and natural heritage

Recognized since Celtic times for its healing properties, the Saint-Genulphe spring (also called "Aimée's spring") has been a major pilgrimage site since the 12th century.
Located in the Loiret, on Aimée's land in Montcresson, it is now at the heart of the association Le Jardin d'Aimée.

His first project: planting the first DAMASCENA variety rose bushes intended for making rose essential oil.

It was on her family's land in the Loiret that Valérie Demars, president of the association Le Jardin d'Aimée, wanted to create a place for sharing around agroecology and reconnecting with plants.

"Planting roses is for me an act of love, the one I wish to offer to the world."

Valérie Demars.

OUR PROJECTS

  • TRAINING COURSES (starting September 2023)

We are creating a haven of peace and serenity, where fragrant plants can flourish undisturbed. We want to share this unique olfactory experience with everyone through workshops on perfume making, from plant to finished product. We will also offer training in permaculture, herbal medicine, and aromatherapy, to raise awareness among visitors about the benefits of plants and their uses in our daily lives.

  •

    I'M ADOPTING A ROSE BUSH

Adopt a Damask rose baby and offer the Earth and humankind its fragrance of love. You will be its godparent and will receive updates on its progress. This plant project aims to produce organic Damask rose essential oil, a first in France since Grasse.

  • PERMACULTURE / EDUCATIONAL GARDEN

Our association's mission is to promote environmentally and health-conscious agriculture. As part of this mission, we have decided to restore soils depleted by conventional farming and to protect the water quality of the Saint-Genulphe spring.

How was the association formed?

Over a year ago, several committed minds met to give birth to the Jardin d'Aimée.
